Journal Special Issues
All accepted and registered full, short, and work-in-progress papers that are presented at TALE 2018 in the Academic Stream will be published in the conference proceedings (USB with ISBN) and submitted to the IEEE Xplore® digital library. Content loaded into Xplore is made available by IEEE to its abstracting and indexing partners, including Elsevier (Scopus, Ei Compendex), Clarivate Analytics (CPCI—part of Web of Science) and others, for potential inclusion in their respective databases.
In addition, the TALE 2018 Organising Committee has negotiated with a number of prominent journals to expand the opportunities potentially available to authors. As a result, authors of selected papers in the Academic Stream will be invited to submit revised and expanded versions of their papers for possible publication in special issues of journals, which may include those listed below. This process will be conducted externally to the TALE conference organisation.

The Editorial Board views the teaching of technology and design as an emergent rather than an established practice, with many open issues requiring research. Among these issues are the preparation of technology teachers, the assessment of technological competence, and the relationship of technology to other curriculum elements, notably science. There are also significant policy questions that need to be addressed relating to the practice and rationale of curriculum change.
