Mount Keira Lookout
A quick 20-minute drive from Wollongong, this is a great spot to walk through the bush and see what Wollongong has to offer. Free parking and entry.
Minnamurra Rainforest Centre
Explore a beautiful rainforest that follows the Minnamurra river to a waterfall. A tourist friendly track is provided to guide you through the forest. The main loop is an easy grade. You can also follow a path to the waterfall, but this walk is uphill and exhausting and if fit highly recommended. The rainforest has free entry, but you do pay for parking (approx $10 for a car). It is a 35-minute drive, and close to Kiama.
A 50-minute drive from Wollongong, this spot provides breathtaking views and great walking tracks. This location is only an extra 15-minute drive from Minnamurra Falls. Parking fees apply.
If you continue your journey from Minnamurra Falls, to Carrington Falls, the next stop is Fitzroy Falls. This is a further 20-minute drive from Carrington Falls and only a 70-minute drive back to Wollongong. Many tracks designed for tourists allow you to explore the beautiful mountain ranges.
